OBD BLOCK
OBD block is designed to protect the OBD-II diagnostic port from unauthorized access and software hacking.
How does it work?
There will be no access to any information in OBD-II without a special digital connector that belongs to the owner.
OBD BLOCK consists of an adapter key (connector) and a digital relay that identifies the adapter. While the adapter remains with the owner, relay is integrated in vehicle wiring.
Principle of work:
1
Connect
For OBD-II port connection and data reading, the adapter should be inserted
2
Check
Adapter verification by digital relay.
It is automatically verified that its key corresponds to an electronic key recorded in a digital relay
3
Access
Once the adapter is approved by relay, OBD-II is ready for data collection, diagnostics etc. If not, the relay will block the access.
It is no longer necessary to "rewrite" the connector, breaking the standard order of the location of its contacts (and losing the warranty for the car!), And come up with individual adapters for the diagnostic connector.
Benefits and functions of the system
Individual adapter option and reliable protection
An additional analog output blocks any circuits to start the engine
The possibility of blocking the analog output of additional lines
Breaking the 2 circuits of the diagnostic line increases the reliability of protection
